Description

The Instructor Development School is designed to enhance the teaching skills of law enforcement instructors. The course material is intended for those law enforcement officers actively engaged in teaching law enforcement officers. Academy instructors who have not previously attended an instructor development course are encouraged to attend. This 32-hour course includes attendees making in-class presentations (a 3-minute presentation on the first day, and an 18-20 minute presentation on the last day). Some pre-class and out-of-class work is required.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop computer for use in class. All course materials will be provided. This course will be repeated. Preference for enrollment in this class will be given to those officers selected for Firearms Instructor Certification School.

Please dress in layers, as the temperature in the room may be difficult to adjust. The session begins at 8:00 AM and is estimated to end at 5:00 PM. On-site registration will begin at 7:30 AM.
